Registered Dietitian, RD

My career in nutrition has been primarily focused in the clinical field, both acute and long term care settings, however one of my biggest passions is connecting one on one with clients and discussing food, body trust and unpacking the science (or lack there of..) of modern day "diets". I'd like to create a space for openness, sharing and connection as nutrition can be emotional and highly confusing, especially in today's world.

Nutrition is so much more than meal planning and goal setting- I want to hear your story and provide individualized, evidence based advice that nourishes your physical and mental health. My practice is body inclusive.

Although I'd like to help everyone along their nutrition journey, I must be transparent with my educational scope and only provide care to those I feel best equipped to counsel. To ensure we are the right fit for each other please fill out the online intake form at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If I don't think I am the right RD for you I will be in touch with you ASAP (please leave an email or phone number) with a referral to another RD or health service I believe to be appropriate. Dietitians do tend to stick together so I am confident that I can serve as a referring practitioner and get you set up with someone who works with your condition/concern. I am currently NOT seeing the following client groups: pediatrics (18 years of age or younger), pregnancy, and active diagnosed eating disorders.

A Typical Session

A typical nutrition session with me entails 60 minutes of nutrition counselling unpacking your needs and/or health concerns with plenty of time to ask questions. I follow each session up with a detailed summary document of the session including an overview of what we discussed, condensed recommendations, and links to resources (blogs, podcasts, recipes, research). Nutrition sessions are an open conversation. I come prepared with some talking points and information however I like patients to feel in control of where the session goes. I spend a decent amount of time summarizing the session afterwards so that patients are able to stay engaged during the conversation and are not worried about taking notes during our session. My goal is to set you up with a plan that you can refer to between sessions. I usually recommend a follow up 4-6 weeks after our initial session depending on what we discussed. Of course, a follow up is your choice. My suggestions regarding follow ups are rooted in your best interest  - I will be transparent if I feel a follow up is not necessary.

Booking a free 15 minute discovery call is a great way to meet me and ask any questions you may have regarding my scope of practice and how it applies to your concerns. I would highly recommend booking a discovery call before your initial session as this allows both of us to get a jump start on our work together. If I need to refer you to another RD I can do so during this call.
